I have been living and working in Cambridge, NY, overlooking the Green Mountains of Vermont, most of my life, while studying painting most of the past 30 years.
My painting reflects the beautiful, rural life I’ve led in many varied motifs, including still life, family portraits, highway scenes, rural landscapes and more recently the complexity of reflections and transparency of glassware. In the past year, I have added the often humorous and always compelling art of dog portraiture to my repertoire.
While over the years I have enjoyed working in many other media, including water colors, pastels, charcoal, encaustic, graphite, clay and wood; Oil painting has always been my favorite mode of expression. I love the feel and the flow of oil paint as well as it’s versatility.
